I have a 2011 Jet Black 335D with Sport suspension and the 195 wheels. I have two questions:

1)
I've ran nothing bigger than 18" wheels on sedans but I'm interested in the BMW M3 wheel replicas and they generally come in 19s. What are your opinions on 18s vs 19s? Probably more applicable to SoCal drivers...

2)
Can I fit 19 x 8.5 +35 in the front and 19 x 9.5 +45 in the rear? What size tires are recommended? I tried searching but some threads said you can fit 19x10s in the rear and some said 19x9 was the most that could fit...just looking for some clarification. Thanks!

I don't know about the fitment but as far as 18 vs 19, you're suited for 19'a in Cali for sure. The roads are better there. I'm In Upstate NY where I tried 19s and I bent 3 rims in 4 months. I literally can't have 19s here. Plus 19s will look better.

The sizes should work, but you may need or want to consider spacers. Most guys run 9.5s with low-30s for offsets in the rear on LCIs. Just as an example, these would give you 21mm less clearance on the strut side than the stock 193m-sport wheels. I'm sure someone will chime in to tell you if that is ok.

Personally I'd only spend money on wheels if they were lighter & or stronger than the stocks (maybe 20-23lbs max for 19s). I don't like adding weight for aesthetics, but its all just personal preference...some guys do 30+lb 20s & others do 16lb 17s. I tend to lean toward the latter, but like many compromise with 18s/19s that are light and strong.

What part of the 805 are you in? I find 19's to be plenty comfortable around Ventura/SB Counties, we have pretty decent roads around here. As said above the rear offsets are a bit high, if you have a choice go for something in the low 30's for 9.5" rears.

Those dimensions should cause no problem for your vehicle.

You have a good point but the way I see it...if I want weight savings I can drive the Evo instead

I'm in Simi which isn't too bad at all. The freeway is hit or miss and I drive to LA a lot but I know most of the areas with rough spots.

From a fellow 805/SoCal guy 19's will be fine as long as you keep your eyes out for the big holes (mainly 101). I went from 19's to 18's and honestly probably won't ever go back.

Depends on what look you're going for..if you want a more beefy race look go for 18's with a nice fat tire wall. If not 19's will fill the tire well in a lot more and look more classy. IMO do something besides the m3 wheels, they're too simple, not very aggressive. Something with a lip always looks cool. I live in SoCal, the potholes aren't too bad with 19's but it can get nasty sometimes. If you want a more flush/stretched fitment get 255's in the rear, the lip of the wheel (if 9.5 in rear) will stick out a tiny bit, same goes for 235's tires on 8.5 wheels in the front. If you don't like that look and you want the wheel to be more engulfed by the tires get 265's. Any fatter you'll need bigger wheels for it to fit snug and a fender roll. Remember, the bigger the wheel..the heavier, same goes for tire thickness (plus the fatter..the more $)

I'm running style 359's (front 19-8.5 rear 19-9.5) Tires - 235s front 255s rear..lowered on KW's and about to put some spacers on (12mm front 15mm rear)..I'll need a fender roll for the spacers.

That sounds aggressive ..... But am sure it will look great as long as it does not rub....

Yes, all CNC machining, finishing, and assembly is done out at the Miami facility. We source the rim halves out of California. The complete wheel is USA made.
