Stupid Badge Question

The big badges on the car, trunk and hood, are they really just stickers on the metal plate? It appears that way, I was just unaware. The sticker came off my trunk lid one. Not sure if it "just happened" or was (most likely) helped by neighborhood hoodlems.

No, it's not just a sticker. It is an enamel layer. Yes, they do come off on rare occasion. They are easy to replace, but you need to replace the entire badge (roundel). The trunk lid is the toughest to remove since it has 3m tape in addition to 2 studs with grommets holding it on.

Yeah I read its a bit of a bear to get off. Winter won't be much help unless I get a warm day. I ordered a replacement. Pretty much sucks...
Thanks

My E90 emblem didn't have tape on it. Only the 2 studs. So it was easy to remove.

Try and get floss around the edges or put a hair dryer to it to weaken tape, use a micro suction cup from Home Depot or something and pull straight out. Then return suction cup . Suction cup also works on getting the wheel caps off too without taking off the wheels
