I happened to look down at my range after filling up this morning, and it looked like this (636 mile range)...


This led me to research the Prius's range (albeit with a smaller tank). According to the EPA whose current rating system gives the Prius a generous 50mpg combined rating, the range of be 2011 Prius per tank is 536 miles.

I'm sure you guys have seen some better numbers as the ones posted above were just happenstance. Anybody save their evidence?

I almost posted it...I used to have a pic of 3/4 of a tank with 704miles DTE! I was driving from AL to NY that day last march with a crazy tailwind from a weather system that produced a bunch of tornados.

I have a fuzzy picture of 686 miles. Was over 700 miles at one time - I had just come downhill from Crystal Mt (skiing) for 36 miles and the rolling average was high.

Nice! i havent seen the 700s yet, but ive gotten mid 6s. i hav triuble keeping my foot off the floor.

I know when I first bought e car, I did a highway drive where I hit reset just as I pulled into the fast lane. After 50 miles, I had averaged 47mpg, so I sent a picture of it to a buddy who drives a Prius...I believe that text string was moderately less polite than my thread title tho
