FIBER CABLE for BMW
Hello
I want to retrofit Individual Audio System , but for it to communicate with the rest of the car i need to buy fiber cable. My question is where i could buy it from ? The cable looks something like this: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/56...icles_BMW.html If i buy normal fiber cable and buy the connectors would that work ? |

No idea, but why in the world would you want to go through all that work and expense, and still have a mediocre sounding system?

I think that you or somebody from your side of the pond created a thread some time ago with the same question. And the answer is still the same: it is not plug & play and it just does not sound great enough for the expense and effort to retrofit.

When i mean plug & play i am reffering you don't need to adapt the woofers or change the speakers , or install one amplifier and one sound processor, which you still need to find place in the trunk to fit them. PLug & play means you put the speakers on the car, you move all the wires from headunit to amplifier in the trunk, then you connect the fiber, add the option and code the car
![]() Anyway , i wanna get those fiber cable , anybody have any ideas where i can get from? |

Here you go bud! I was thinking about doing the relocation myself to get rid of the sos error that occurs without it, but decided to use my money on some other mods and just live with the sos error for now lol.

Right now i have installed on the car woofers+tweeters+midrange and crossovers from Individual , and the sound is a big improvement, only the tweeters if you go up with volume they will kill your ears They need to be calibrated with the equalizator from amplifier. |

![]() Seriously, the IA does not sound THAT good to justify the expense, there are plenty of aftermarket solutions that cost a fraction of what you're spending and sound better.

Unfortunately you can't buy less then 7 meters unless you visit a yard. BMW part number is 61120142318. You can easily cut it, you may need more part like 61136901847 and 61136901846 basically many but all part you can find in the link I made to the first part number above.
