Yes you still need an FSC code to get this to work. Contact sieras5@inbox.lt for a code. I have been successful getting a code from him.

This will work for my '10 E90 with the hard drive based navi? I think mine is CIC. From what I was told only the dealer was able to do the updates?

I believe that this was just for cars with CIC prior to 9/2009 build and has to do with a software update. My 9/2008 build car apparently has had the update and it worked fine. There's another thread going on this and it would appear that some people have problems and some don't. In any case a MY 2010 car should be fine unless it is a very early 2010 car AND has not had the update.

Found this handy link on one of the boards:
FAQ on BMWNA under "owners", then "BMW Assist", then "Myinfo FAQ". http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...MyInfoFAQ.aspx After following these instructions to send it, the next time you are in your car you should have a message under "BMW Assist" in the main idrive menu. Open the message and save it to your contacts or address book or whatever it's called. Works as advertised. |
