M Style Aero front spoiler
Looking to fit an aero front spoiler and concerned it maybe too low and be buggered in a couple of weeks with a combination of speed bumps and crappy roads so thought I'd try a rep before going for the OEM or a Vorsteiner rep from SSDD.
Anyone fitted the M Style rep or heard anything about the fitment? I know it won't be perfect but hopefully not need any real fettling to look ok.... http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/info_B02ZZ005.html This also caught my eye as an option... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-E92-E9...item53e711d6f9 |

I'd be interested if anyone has got any feedback on the above items as I have been looking into an aero lip as well.
The "some items may require adaptions to fit" puts me off. |

I came across this too, spoke to the guys and agreed to £70, but its GRP - which will break at the slightest hit/nudge I hear!
http://www.nktuning.com/BMW_E92__E93...r_1071-18.html I've decided to go OEM as a result to save the hassle ! |

How much is OEM then? I always thought it was around £300 before paint, fitting etc.
I've been wondering if it would be easier to get an M Sport bumper off eBay. Always seem to be loads available on there for a decent price. Other than different fogs and grills what else would be needed to change bumpers? |

It will add a bit of depth to the bumper, I would guess at 10cm. My car is lowered on H&R springs so its already close to scrapping in multi stories.
The best quote I got from main dealer was £260 inc vat. Not sure on the m-sport bumper. I doubt there is much to do the main cost would be paint unless you find one in good condition and in your colour!! |

I fitted a replica Aero spoiler on mine about 6 months ago and I haven't had any issues with speed bumps or kerbs to be honest as it slips on over the original bumper rather than extending it massively.
The replica which I got from SSD was cheaper than OEM but it is also a few mm out in one or two places in terms of fitment but only noticeable if you really get close down and look. At the time I was getting quoted £400+ for supply and fit of the OEM spoiler which IMO is silly for a bit of plastic. Oh and do not buy GRP ones, they are shite. Make sure it's polyurethane plastic like the OEM ones. |

I'm going to give M Style and ask the question about material. They've got OEM for £238.80 which seems cheap compared to what dealers are quoting! http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/info_B02BM014.html |

Buy genuine and get a local decent paint job. The fit of the genuine item is superb, I'm delighted with mine and love the look of the front of the car with it. Having something with a few areas of poor fitment on the front of the car would be too obvious for me so worth a few extra £££s for the correct item.

I have had a lot of work done by mstyle. They have been very helpful, and although you may find something a little cheaper elsewhere, it is pretty cool going down to see them and have a chat. There products seem to be perfect and their paint and fitting service is perfect. No half assing here, especially as mot aftermarket parts don't fit like oem.

Does anyone have pictures or an accurate measurement as to how much lower the front of the car is after fitting an aero lip? My car scuffs a speed bump already, so if its much lower it will badly catch!
Many thanks |

Mitch that is really helpful thank you.
Spoken to m style and rep is FRP or reinforced fibre glass. OEM is ABS plastic and ultimately like people say more durable. So in summary I will be going with their OEM product! |
