Right/Left
When using iDrive navigation, it drives me crazy that it doesn't tell me if the destination is on the right or left side. When you're navigating to a commercial location, there are very often no visible numbers on buildings, and given that house # location on streets is always imprecise, it's tough to finish the trip. My wife's Lexus says "Your destination is ahead on the right." Does iDrive in any way know whether street # is on left/right, and I just can't find the feature, or is this just something BMW doesn't do as well?

Huh. I wonder why they got rid of that - my 2003 X5 used to tell me (not always accurately, I'll admit)

what bothers me more is that the nav doesn't tell you the one way streets. It's supposed to know but at time I've been instructed to turn into a one way street against traffic. So don't follow your nav blindly.

Funny. I could swear my nav told me the "destination was ahead on the right." I guess I am just having flashbacks from my Lexus driving days.
