Recently we have had some nice weather for this time of the year so since WED I have been driving my turbo project car and the E90 has rested in my parking
spot in my Condo Complex.



The spot I park the BMW in has a no parking sign for Tues & Thurs sometimes randomly ill forget to move my car.
( its a normal spot there are no yellow lines or anything ) Just a small sign, I usually always remember to move if I am in the spot.

I have an old 65+ year old neighbor who this bothers when the garbage man
cant take the garbage and has got into it with me before ( crappy setup they have for parking ).

Well this Thurs I forgot my car in the spot and the garbage man complained which I found out later that day, I was like damn im sorry there were no other spots to park in ( mind you I own my condo and never had probs before ).

Well since I know the garbage guy only comes Tues & Thurs no sense moving now, Apparently he came Friday and was like whats this kids
problem etc etc running his mouth to a neighbor who informed me.

Fast fwd to today the first time I goto drive the car, I goto the back to put my son in his car seat and im greeted with this?





UGH WTF, I have no proof who did it but find it coincidental the events that have taken place prior ( garbage man and old lady complaining ) and now this.

What kinda person does this, Just filed an insurance claim and police report
my friend does body work said will be $500 - $1000 minimum its deep.

Wow... Yeah, it was your bad for not moving your car but it's not even that serious. Definitely not something that deserved keying. Sorry this happened to you.

Oh totally I know the problem is they just put this sign up the first 4 years I lived here there was no sign and no problem. Theres not enough spots so usually I use the spot ( its a regular spot 90% of the time ) and move in
the morning. With getting my son ready and going to work I forgot.

Def not serious at all, Worse case is they miss collecting the garbage ( its a group dumpster ) Worst part is I have no proof so I have to eat it and goto
insurance. The spot use to be perfect because I could park it close to my other
car to avoid any dings from others spots.. Just blows my mind we live in a nice complex.

I can't say much about the Car part of this besides I'm really sorry that happened and I hope the body shop can make it good as new, but as for the crime aspect, I DO NOT think this was a coincidence and perhaps the garbage man lost it when he saw you didn't move your car when he came back around Friday, and made a very bad decision.

Try and talk to that neighbor more who informed you about how heated he was Friday and see if he too can draw a connection with his conversation with the man and what happened to your car.. I mean you probably already checked but see if there were any cameras at all around the complex, that would be GREAT. but all in all, goodluck and I really just hate seeing things like this, people destroying others property.

Do you know if there are cameras around? I'm sure there should be cameras around a parking area of a complex.

Thanks man I hope it turns out perfect as well, I handwash this car to try to avoid damage and I get along with everyone. I never go out of my way to make any kind of enemies.

I am a family man and never gave anyone I live with any crap, I help anyone who needs it around here.

No cams unfortunately guys, Its a big condo development ( 8 units per building ). I would of moved
my car in a heartbeat for the guy on Friday I wasnt home when he came back I was at work.

Oh my gosh I'm sorry! That's terrible. No matter what the issue it's never a good enough reason to key somebody's car especially over garbage (literally)

Yeah I guess its no parking 2 days between 2 small time frames and its my complex I live at not a public location, I simply forgot to move my car.

Totally agree. No one deserves their car to be messed with, but when you live in a community such as this and you parking in that spot causes the garbage to pile up it affects everyone there. now you might have not meant it, but others there probably didn't see it that way. They probably think you're a snooty rules don't apply to me cause I drive a BMW person thus perpetuating the stereotype. Also why would you park your SE-R in the good spot where you don't need to move it and the Bimmer in the no parking spot?

SE-R has a small battery that dies alot in winter months so it needs frequent jumpstarts, So since it sits most of the time its the closest to a power outlet.

I will be replacing that battery with a larger rear mount since its not optimal without a garage.
