My A7 is giving better economy that the 335D ever did (see the Fuelly link in my signature for the real world numbers) with high 30s on a 10,000 mile average Oddly however the Bi Turbo looks almost identical "on paper" to the single turbo. Of course all of this depends on how you drive and where you drive

Hi Guys, Thanks for all your help, especially Andrew with his Pm/post.
I ended up doing a deal today with..... BMW Ordered a fully loaded M135i 5-door white with red, arriving mid March. Fell in love with the car after taking it for a test drive. Already thinking of some mods.. BBS LM's, Performance Exhaust and a remap (after 1000 miles of course)

I know a few people who have bought one of these this year and they all love them. Indeed one of the girls in the office has white with red and it looks stunning. Lots and lots of fun Enjoy

That's a great car Marlie, and a million times more fun than the dull dull dull A7.
I had one on a 24 hr test drive last week and also fell in love with it. In fact it made me realise that I DID still enjoy driving! The spitting and popping exhaust was addictive and the auto box felt as good as a DCT/DSG. Look forward to hearing your views when you get it and especially when you change the rims! It will almost certainly be my next car. Want one now but Audi want 55% of remaining lease payment to chuck it back early so just gonna have to live with it for another year. Mark, not sure how you get high 30's out of it, you must drive like miss Daisy lol. Personally can't wait to get rid of it! Maybe revisit the luxury barge idea when in my mid 50's ![]()

Hi Paul
You must be half way through your lease by now, how about handing it back? You have the cc for long slogs still? I bet the 996 is not far off your supposed economical a7 What's next for you? |

Watched the eCoTY DVD and it was the first time i'd even registered the M135i
Great choice and with the 8speed gearbox (assuming it's similar to what i have in X5) it'll be a lot of fun to live with day to day. Enjoy ![]() |

Nice choice of car, I had one in front of me the other day and it was very quick.. I was in the x6 otherwise I would have had a little play :-)
I think this is the gearbox I have in the x6, I am shocked how fast it changes in manual mode. It like having dct/pdk |

Nice choice and nice car Marlie.....and you made the right choice! Stepping back form that Audi deal was the only thing to do as you'd probably have made the wrong decision!

Thanks Guys, I am really excited, it will be nice to get back into something quick. Sold my 335i a couple of years back and have missed the need for speed
![]() ![]() ![]() Have been told that tuners are finding it hard to crack the ECU, hopefully a remap will be available soon. its a shame this car never went to America because there would of been so many more aftermarket parts available ![]() ![]() ![]()

They want 55% of all remaining payments so not an option, final payment will be start of December so will be planning its replacement to be an early Xmas present! The 996 does mid 20's so not far off the A7....that's driving both cars similarly. No doubt the Porsche would drop far lower than that driven hard but like for like driving, the oil burner should be all over it like a tramp on chips. Will almost certainly be an M135i with all the bells and whistles. Love em! (That's unless the M5's are still on the mega cheap lease deals and then that might just chuck a spanner in the works! Head will say no but heart will say yes!)
