You drive a 2011 BMW which is not the nes supported with this maps.

Yours us Hard Drive Based and not DVD Based.

This, its just another POI icon like gas stations and the like. Given that the red light cams and speed traps are both from 2011, you may not even find them all that useful anyway.

Hello fellas. I have been following the discussion regarding the 2013 Navi update for CCC DVD base. I need assistance in updating to the new 2013 maps. I was able to download the ISO files on both Region 1 & 2 thank you for the available resources. I am not sure if the next step is to burn the image files as a DVD-ROM and my navi system is not reading the dics. I need help. thank you in advance.

Does anyone else have an issue with the navi running much slower with a burned disc? It has a much more substantial lag when I am trying to input an address etc.
With the OEM disc it was much quicker.

I used a TDK DVD-R+
Is it maybe a brand dependent issue?

Hi, I updated my CIC System in 2012 BMW X5 with 2013 NAM maps via USB stick.
My questions:
1. Can I add the red light Camera and Speed trap information to the existing installed Maps - or do I have to re-install the entire 21 GB map update?
2. Is there a hope to have the latest Red Light Cam and speed trap information any time soon?
3. I see that the Map Updates with 2011 Cams and traps are available as DVD downloads - how can these be transferred to USB stick for update via USB? USB is much fasted upgrade compared to DVD.

I had a similar issue, burned it at as slow of a speed as I could find on all of my burners (I think 2X) and that took care of a lot of it. May not actually be the case, but it does feel much faster then before.

Now, under ISO file, navigate to where the .iso file saved (most likely in c:/Users/<pcname>/Downloads) and click "BMW_CCC_Nav_2013_Region1_Cams.iso" AND "BMW_CCC_Nav_2013_Region2_Cams.iso". Each one requires a seperate DVD. I used memorex DVD -R 4.7 GB bought from walmart.

Under Drive, find your DVD burner.

Don't change anything else and click burn. Within a few minutes you will have burned both DVD's.





(I've Currently tried Region 1. It works but a bit slower than the older model nav maps. Will try region 2 in a few minutes)

EDIT: I have tried Region 2 as well. Works like a champ. The speed traps and cameras option is neat as well!

First, the dates on the subdirectories are dated May, 2012
Second, the file CDROM.TOC has the following:

Date: 22.5.2012
db: NA(2011Q3)
Area: North America
Subarea: West
Supplier: Teleatlas
Version: 505.19.174.1.84
Customer Version: 2013

Thus, my interpretation of this is that the information contained is quote old (2011 Third Quarter) but it has been repackaged by Teleatlas as 2013. Is this just an old product in a new box that they want to get $199 under the guise that this is "new and improved"?

It is old but still improved. The 2011 DVDs have 10.5.2010 for date and 2009Q3 for the db. At least we get some updates

I want to clarify that if you downloaded the torrent with red light camera and speed trap, that includes the 2013 maps with 2011 red light camera information. That was created by a user who added that info.

Maybe that is why it reads like that

Red light camera info is in different files, this is the info file for the maps.

Hey whats up people!! sorry ive been super busy with work so i havent been on much since i got the torrents w/cams up and running.. but just wanted to give a little update on what this forum brings to the community.. so far right now we are sitting at 595 downloads for region 2 cams torrent and 761 downloads for region 1 cams torrent!! pretty awesome for the short time the have been up.. also it sounds like we might be able to get some updated data for the speed/red light cams and traps, so thats cool too.. if i get some extra time ill definitely look it.. anyways, happy driving everyone!

I updated the east coast DVD so you can look into updating the west coast

Red light/speed camera files are for all of the US and Canada so you can re-use those, just pick up the speed traps for west coast and central.
