HP Autowerks E82/E9X Rear Toe Arms
HP Autowerks, Inc. proud to introduce its E82/E9X adjustable rear toe arms. These arms allow for greater toe adjustment for vehicles that have lowered on coilover suspension. For E82/E9X owners with just lowering springs, these are not a necessary requirement.
How Low Can You Go? When an E82/E9X is lowered beyond the limits of just lowering springs, the rear wheels toe-in excessively. This excessive rear toe can cause increased tire wear (faster than more camber). As an example, here are the specifications for the E9X M3. Factory Toe Specs Value Min +0.10 Max +0.20 Preferred +0.15 On a recent install of coilovers, we discovered that the toe of the rear wheels had an incurable +0.81 left and right toe. Unfortunately, with the stock toe arms, we could not dial out the toe. Therefore, creating a strong, more adjustable part was in order. For standard spring-only suspension installs, there is enough adjustment in the factory toe arms to bring them back into spec. The Right to Bear (Stronger) Arms The sophisticated (and some say complicated) rear suspension of the current E82/E9X will undoubtedly be replicated by many other companies in the future. However, for those of us in the aftermarket, we're still learning about the little quirks of the suspension. By applying our experience with our E36 and E46 suspension components, we have built arms that are strong and lightweight, while serving the needs of the rear suspension adjustments. Our rear control arms are made from the highest quality components, from USA. Available in black anodized, an exclusive from HP Autowerks, Inc. Also available in HP blue(2 weeks lead time for anodizing). *100% machined and anodized, 6061-T6 lightweight aluminum arms *High-strength, 3 piece, rod end (with carbon fiber reinforced, PTFE race) offers longer life for street compared to standard rod ends *Seals-it Rod End Seals keep dirt, water and other contaminants out (effective item to extend the life of the rod end!) *Lighter than stock! (Stock is 875g, HP arms are 640g) *Extremely easy installation and adjustment (your alignment shop will LOVE you!) Order here: http://www.hpashop.com/HP-Autowerks-...2-e9x-nonM.htm $289 |

Wish you would have had black in stock when I bought mine
![]() Just had them installed today. No noticible increase in NVH. Question: can you get rod end boots for these?

Buyers Beware!
I had these toe arms installed in the beginning of March and haven't hit any major potholes or sharp bumps since. The spherical joints have already become loose in 3 months and make an intermittent clunking noise over certain frequency bumps. Neither RE nor HPA warranty spherical joints and consider them a wear item like brake pads. Replacement joints cost $30. each (2 per arm) plus labor if you don't diy.

I'm sure street bumps and potholes are harder on spherical joints than track surfaces. Having said that, I'm a very careful driver and am very disappointed the spherical joints couldn't go 3 months w/o becoming noisy and that RE (and subsequently HPA) considers them a wear item and doesn't warranty them. Just fyi; your call.

How do these compare to Megan Toe arms? I have heard that people have experienced noise... I'm in the market to upgrade rear components and toe arms are on the list.......

These will give your 335i more traction by limiting toe changes under acceleration and cornering loads!
