damn!! That sucks!! =X
I would be furious if that happened to me... ![]() Anyhow, driving on a bent rim like that is never good. Also your balance will be off causing your tire to wear off faster than the other tires as well as your ride comfort will be impacted at higher speed. This happened to me long time ago when I used to drive Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4... it costed me nearly $600 to restore 2 stock wheels... I should've just purchased new ones... don't make the same mistake I did... Good luck! |

I wouldn't throw out the old wheel. I once bought a set of Borbet Type C's for cheap because one was badly curbed. I bought a new one to replace the curbed one and they were on closeout! So I kept the curbed one as a spare; if I'd ever damaged one beyond repair I could have had that one repaired.

Contact your local dealer. They should have a mobile wheel repair specialist that stops by the dealership once a week or so to fix wheels on used cars before they're sold, loaners, etc. Try and get a quote from them as well.

update : Kwicksilver , removed the wheels saw "Made in Taiwan" put the wheels back on.
They were not sure of metal quality and seems had bad experience with it in past like cracking under heat.... not sure if this is true or not. I am now wondering whether to get new wheel or try finding another repair shop. FCobra94 : I doubt if stealership will work on Non OEM wheels. + open road BMW here sucks big time. Went there yesterday to check LED indicators as they were flickering with warning lights they say come after 25 days if you want loaner.... of wait a week if you want to leave your car.... BMW = Honda now ![]() |
