BMW DP fix back to Stock
I have had a BMS DP fix on for awhile and but OEM DPs back on and need to put the ECU back to stock, but... I can't remember which wire goes where.
I have the red and black on in 23 which if I'm not mistaken was right, but I am left with the two YELLOW wires. One is supposed to have a number stamped on the insulation? but I don't see it. Any help? One wire is wrapped with the red and black and the other yellow wire is wrapped with the green and black which goes in 19 and which goes in 20? Thanks

You are correct that the dark wire goes in 23. As for wires 19 and 20, you could contact Terry directly if you haven't already? (Not that this helps you now, but I put a piece of painter's tape on the wire 19 so I'd know which one it was when I returned to stock.)
The only other thing you can do is take a 50/50 shot LOL. Put it back one way and see what happens. If you got it backwards, then maybe the car will throw a code or otherwise indicate that it's wrong. Then just switch 'em. GL

Sorry, but who is Terry and how do I contact him? I bought the car with the DP fix already in. I think you might be right on the 50/50 It will probably just throw a code and then I can switch them.

I had the same exact issue.
Essentially, each wire SHOULD have an individually stamped number on it. I believe in that subconnector that number is around the 500 range. They all go in numerical order. When I was putting mine back together, the number stamped on slot 18 was "536." I was left with the two yellow wires like you. Only one of them was blank and the other was "538." Judging by all the other wires, which were all in numerical order, logic would dictate that 537 (first yellow wire) went into slot 19 and the second yellow wire (stamped 538) went into 20. Now here's the kicker: One of my wires did not have the stamped number on it. Why? Im assuming that the ink came off when I removed the electrical tape used to install the O2 sims. Double check carefully which yellow wire is stamped with which number. It took me a little while but I eventually saw it (should be about an inch down from the connector) and I was able to install it. Best of luck.

So the white wire have numbers stamped on them but the yellows do not. I checked all the way down the wire and found nothing. There is some black spots on the wire but they do not make numbers. The only way I can tell them apart is one is twisted with the red and black wire and the other is twisted with the green and black wire. Can anyone take a picture of their stock dme wire harness and see which goes where?
I have searched and searched I am surprised no one has run into this issue.

Terry wasn't sure. Looks like I need help from the forum again. If someone has a chance to look at their stock dme and see the yellow wire twisted with the green and black wire, which #slot does it go in?
Much appreciation. I took a look at the other side of the harness to see if there were any similar situations. What I saw was: Wire A & B are twisted together and C & D are twisted together, then on the harness they went A, C, B, D or Green/Blue, Red/Black, Yellow(B), Yellow(D). But... I would like to verify before hand.

The below is correct if it makes sense. I foreget what numbers they go into but the yellow wire twisted with the Green and Blue goes first then the yellow wire twisted with the red and black. At least no codes yet.
