Safe to leave FMIC grill off?

I was just wondering if it is safe to leave the grill in front of an intercooler off? Will exposing it to too much debris be harmful?

Personally, I'd leave it on. I'd be pissed if something messed up the intercooler that could have been stopped by the stock mesh.

nothing will go wrong, but you have a higher chance of rock and debris damaging fins. i would just run it to be more stealth.

It honestly comes down to which you prefer more, the look of the exposed FMIC and the added risk of damage, or the safer route that doesn't show off your FMIC.
