Trying to slam e90 xi - Page 2 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

dont to this install.

during the install i broke the shaft on the shock. so i ordered koni yellows then used the sp lowering perchs along with the 09 "i" top hats and it actually raised the car.

ill be removing everything this weekend and just running koni yellows with h&r sports.

I've only seen one person put the "I" race springs on the xi. Not enough for me to do it

I was in your same predicament, and picked up a set of slightly used custom BC racing coilovers, couldn't be an happier. I paid 800 with the extenders for the rear to adjust the dampers, camber plates etc. I couldn't be happier..great ride quality and go lower then I'd ever need them..and I like my cars LOW

I have kw v1 coils. They are not at the lowest setting which I think would be pretty slammed based on my ride height now.

I don't think you have any options other than getting coilovers if you want slammed on an xi

Could you post a pic? Also with the number of threads still available for you to spin down? I'm not sure if I'm going to go with v1's or h&r coils. Both are for the xi. H&r claim to drop an inch lower all around compared to the v1. But comfort is a necessity also

Can anyone provide some insight as to which will provide a more comfortable ride? The h&r coils or the v1's?

I have been in cars with both and they were very close. I went with H&R coils in the end and very happy with them. I really couldnt tell one over the other.

If you don't mind buying used look for a set used. I just got mine for $775 shipped and they were never driven in the snow and look brand new.

Now I just gotta find time to get them installed

nice find. Ill probably be going for a used set. Just need to save some funds now

Haha just check the classified ads here and also look at some regional sections with awd cars like tri state area, etc... But yea they're now installed and they're amazing. Basically everything I could've asked for
