Buying an Intercooler from the USA - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I need some help from the experts on here when it comes to getting large items shipped from the USA. After shipping, the intercooler will cost me $715 and will be sent by FedEx. What hidden costs will I be subjected to? The obvious one is the 13% sales tax which I'm cool with.

Anything else?

Much appreciated.

If you ship it to an attended mailbox located in US, just across the border (usaddressinc.com is an example) and you go over and pick it up, it will only cost you extra just the HST (assuming that it is manufactured in US or the customs agent doesn't care) and the US$5 that you get charged with by said companies when they receive a package for you.
You might also save on the shipping (if your shipping quote was to your Canadian address).

The only thing extra (if I am not mistaken) that the shipper would charge if you want to get it shipped to your Canadian address is the brokerage fee for the fact that they need to process items through the customs for you - not sure on that amount though.

Brokerage fee is only added if you use the ground service, not on express.

I have an FMIC (lightly used) for sale on classifieds. I'm only asking $450. It's a hell of a deal and direct bolt on - no hidden costs.

Hit up Dzenno from protuningfreaks.com. He's local and I'll be getting mine from there very soon hopefully as I got some of my other mods from him including my Aquamist meth install. He told me they'll price match. I'm still debating between ER, AMS and Helix
