Rumours put two different powerplants in the frame:
Upgraded 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, straight-six (so +360bhp) or
single-turbo, 3.0-litre straight-six.

Gearbox choices are likely to be either/or a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Runflats are easily replaced, although as Dave mentioned, the 'M' division have never used runflats,a true enthusiast would never want them, unlike us plebs who are not given any choice

The ride would be as expected, infinitely better than the one that again comes as standard for the less well off in both cash terms, and cock size.

If it's available @350.00 a mth,the plant manufacturing the car will explode coping with demand, hopefully that won't happen until after mine's been delivered

Ex vat I meant there, so 420 all in pcm.

I think on lease that's reasonable on say, a 6+23.

But demand might keep the prices higher than that.

I believe the reason the 1 series M didn't have any strong deals was the limited availability: So they didn't give any out to leasers. All went PCP, HP or straight sale.

But when I spoke about getting one with Harold Wood back in 2011, I was getting it out at under 500pcm on a 4 year PCP deal based on 10k and a 10% deposit. I just backed out in the end (and regret it now) as I didn't feel I was in a position to commit the finance at that time (I was up to my eyeballs in debt due to family circumstances).

So you'd imagine that such a price for a 40k car means you'd come well under that for a 45k car on lease rather than finance.

Anyway. I'll shut up and drool at the pic some more ..

Wish list:

Return of full size spares/doughnut and out with RFT's.
Minimal weight (but full size spares are good weight)
no electronic power steering

I'd imagine you'll get only the minimal weight part, and it'll be partly by not getting the other two features you've requested
