Dude seriously you take everything to heart who the fuck cares what people say or do in the forum. When it comes down to it you posted up this thread to find out about your tire wear, I could bet you, like I said earlier your specs are all out of wack. Did you even do alignment after droping the car, or do you even give a shit anymore

OP.....get back to your tires and tell us where the wear is so some of us can try and help you.

I'm no tire expert but can understand the basics.

If your wear is even across the tire, then your either spinning those tires or possibly the tires are on backwards (not sure if that would cause them to wear down quicker...others might chime in).

Gut feeling is your rear tires are worn on the inside and as others are mentioning, you probably didn't get a proper alignment and your camel toe is probably off in the rear... search for NEGATIVE camber.

As with any forum, you will always get some type of response that is offensive/rude, I've learned just to ignore, nobody ends of winning and also learned to stay away from electronic communciation when drinking....that's dangerous.

OP can't read that's why he can't provide the people of this community a name that's labeled on the tire.

Well there's your problem right there.

Had the same thing happen to me ages ago on an old Scirocco... sold my GTI, part of the deal was that I wanted to keep my H&R Sport springs and Konis. Swapped the suspension in front of the guy who bought the GTI's house, drove the car a little too long... meant to get an alignment but was busy, and the car actually drove fine. My front tires were trashed after a month. Even if it doesn't "feel" wrong, it probably is - changing ride height changes toe as well. (rears not an issue on a Vee-Dub as back then they used a twist-beam rear not a multi link.)

Check your fronts as well, you may be trashing them as well.

That doesn't look too horribly uneven, Bimmers do tend to wear the inside of the rears slightly more than the outside, I don't like it but that is due to the alignment specs they use which are tailored more for handling than even tire wear. You were right to replace those tires, but they aren't that scary so long as you're not driving in rain or snow. I've seen enough pics of corded tires, now those are scary, you're not near that yet...

Moral of the story....The OP knows next to nothing about a car that he has spent thousands of dollars on. Let him keep wearing tires out...He will figure it out eventually.

My bet is on a set of those crap Achilles ATR tires or some alike...
OP saying completely bald kind of eliminates uneven wear. Then again he might not have looked over the whole contact patch.

is this from camber? seems excessive if the left looks fine but inside is toast. how would someone fix this? not replace w/ new tires, but how you would prevent this on your next set.

Just an FYI most people think camber kills tires which is not true actually its the toe that actually does that

Camber can certainly unevenly wear certain portions of a tire, but not as fast as toe can...

OK, *that* frightens me. 'course I don't have AWD but still, I'd be a little concerned driving to the Safeway in snow on those tires!
