found this stain in my paint on the hood of my car and i cant figure out what it is or how to get it out.. i tried clay bar, degreaser, iron-X, rubbing alcohol, even a slight bit of betalink remover. any idea what it could be or more importantly how to get it out?!

if you dont want to go as far as wet sanding, use an aggressive cutting pad on an orbital buffer along with an aggressive cutting compound, then polish out and wax.

thanks ill try that and see if it works, if not i may have to bust out the sand paper

Try some Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Medium by hand first, if that doesn't work you may have to use the Cleaner Fluid Strong. both can also be used with a machine.

if its tree sap, use kerosene

It sounds like you did a good job cleaning the surface and it's not something on top of the clear coat. I would suggest starting with a light polish like the Meguiar's M205 and if that doesn't work try something more aggressive like the Meguiar's M105. I'm confident this will remove the marks safely and permanently. Good luck!
