Wow, cool set.

I'm planning on being at the F1 race in Austin in November, but I think I need to go practice at some local races first before I waste shots at the F1.

Thanks guys, it's the best race to attend in my opinion.

Thanks, depends on the shot. The closest was about 25yds. The furthest was bout 175yds. I used the 70-200 for all track shots and the 24-70 for all garage shots. 2600 iso for the night pics.

That's the great thing about the 24 hour race. You're able to take some shots, get some dinner, download and check out your work on the computer. Head back and get some night shots and worst case scenario your first day experience will ensure you get some good shots on day 2. I just wish the sound for each of these cars could come along with the pics.

took a few videos with the phone. We stayed in a hotel that was 2.3 miles away from the track and i could hear the cars running at the track while in the shower!!

Watch the hair as the cars go by....

Nice series.

The video reminds me of going in the stands down to the end of turn three, where there used to be quite a large bump, and watching the GT-40s come around there at 220+ mph and move sideways on the bump and then blow by you right at the fence.

must have been exciting to watch! Although watching GT40s being pushed around the track would be exciting! haha
