For steptronics, would these be push/pull like oem or would it be left down right up?

Is it a big secret how these install? Couldn't you just post the answer in this thread instead of PM's?

I'd be interested in how to install also...

It's not a secret at all. There's a great guide on the forum.

Received my Brushed Aluminum Extended Paddles today - quik shipping!

>> Paddles looked great as is - but I decided to add a little twist. The OEM DCT paddles are painted a darker color gray with the '+' & '-' painted on in a lighter gray.

>> The extended paddles come thru with the '+' & '-' machined in, and since the color of paddles is natural brushed aluminum - I painted in the machined '+' & '-' with Dark Gray for contrast so that they were more visible.

Simply used some Testors Enamel in Dark Gray with a very fine tipped artist brush to fill in machined logos.

>> Rest of install was EZ - only need to remove airbag & old paddles, wheel stays put

Extended paddles make for easier reach than OEM, and obviously you can now hit them from bottom also.

All in all - I'm very happy with the new look

Are these compatible with sport wheels if I have already switched over to M3 paddles?

If you have the M3 paddles (as in my 'Before' pics above) I don't see why not, as these simply replace the paddle portions that you see with the new paddles. The part of the paddle shifters that bolts to your wheel is retained...

How does the actual paddle detach? New paddle seems to have screw in middle. Removed airbag, detached whole paddle unit, now stuck!

I have same wheel as pictured above?
