Highest RWHP and 1/4 mile - Tunes and Times post
I am starting this thread in hopes of collecting a lot of good information and having it all in one place. I have searched and searched and cannot manage to remember anything about who has what and what times they ran without bookmarking every post and then trying to compare them. So I would like to see a thread that 335d owners and soon-to-be owners can look at to figure out what mods will improve their performance the most.
Please help by posting your tune/mods, US or non-US, rwhp you obtained, and 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile times in this thread. |

I agree. That's why I posted this. I believe there is someone on here with 327rwhp in the states, which is pretty good. I also believe TDIwyse is running 12.6 sec quarter mile times with his set up. We're getting there, but not as fast as people out side the US.

I need to get my car on the track to find out, since I've got the meth kit on it now, too. Given that hotrod did a 4.5 0-60 and a 12.9 1/4th with the JBD, I'm pretty sure I can beat that.

Ronin, how do you like the meth kit? & how many miles to burn through the tank? I'm considering adding this to my DD (which averages annually to about 650-750 mi/week); any thoughts?

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=33 That was the only pass I did that day, and the only pass I did with the drag slicks. And I'm a newbie when it comes to the track. I'd wager if someone like Ron1n or Hotrod drove my car they would've got a better time. |

Am thinking about going to the MIR dragstrip on 8 Mar if possible. Would be nice to see what the old D will actually do. Hopefully the LSD and other stuff is installed by then, and maybe I might even spring for a JBD before then. That way I could do a no tune run and all variations up to 100%. It's supposed to be $100 per day.

Depends on how heavy my foot is, tbh. I've gone through 15 gallons of meth since I've had it, but part of that was because my WW pump was leaking, so they had to replace that. I've been running about an 80/20 mix, as well, so I'm going through more than most people would, I think.

Yep. I'm looking at the Quaife from them too. I already have the parts for full M3 suspension swap, adjustable sway end links and the Megan toe arms as well.

300 whp last RENNtech Dyno, I have a better version upgrade but have not made any Dyno runs, will try to do it this week and add the WAGNER IC to also do a dyno run. fastest time recorded was 130 mph on 1/2 mile run NOT 1/4 mile just in case you misread it.

I took the d to MIR last year, went light - 1/8 tank of fuel, rear seat removed and all I did was spin out in the box. For the life of me I could not get traction on my street tires - granted my tires are Conti DWS - PSS or PS2's would be better, but I would still expect lots of wheel spin. Sadly my best time came when I had traction control on, and no brake boosting, in other words just mashed the peddle and ran a 13.7. I ran the car at least 5 times, even tried lowering RPM's to 1700 and feathering the throttle out of the box, but as soon as I mashed the peddle once I got moving,,, tire SPIN - it was futile. The track surface at the start and through the first 10/15 yds or so is slick and more condusive to sticky DR's. My car is a totally different animal on the street w/street tires - best run from a dig was against an S63 AMG no traction nannies and brake boost to about 2100 RPM the d was ahead 1 and 1/4 cars up until we shut it down at 100 mph - the d spun a bit but shot out like a bat. While it was fun it was also frustrating at the same time. If I go back it will only be with drag radials or a min an ultra high performance summer tire. |

![]() Wheel spin is 10x worse w/street tires at the track. It's like trying to drag race on a wet road. |
