Our next SA-area meet-and-greet might be a run over to Kerrville for some BBQ at Cal-Bob's Smokehouse. I'm tied up for the next 3 weekends, though, so it may be later in Feb. before I can get it organized.

Jeff - you going to the February club event in Pflugerville? I'm going to be leaving here around 7AM and taking the back roads out to 281, north to 290, then MoPac Expressway to Toll 45. First exit after you cross I-35 will be the one for Berli's. Let me know if you (or anyone else from the area) wants to convoy.

Alan - I don't know for sure yet. My girlfriend will be in town that weekend, and we were going to go househunting on Saturday. I'd like to go though.. I will see what I can do. Wish it was closer to San Antonio...

Jeff - Yeah, we have quite a contingent in Austin/Round Rock area, so some events are a long haul for us, just like the events here are a long haul for them. It balances out pretty good. If you can't make it, there'll be another one in March (3rd Saturday), although our Bluebonnet event will likely be somewhere in between Austin and SA, probably out around Johnson City/Fredericksbug area, where the bluebonnets are in abundance. Are you going to be able to go to the BMW Corral at the Grand Am event on March 1 & 2 at COTA? It's not a club-sponsored event, but was offered to members of all 3 Texas chapters by COTA. I'll be there on Saturday, not sure if I'll take off Friday or not. I should have the F30 by then, too.

I plan to do both events in March... not sure if I will do both days for COTA, but I am going to try. I have to work friday, so I don't know.

Pretty good overall... I guess I expected it to look better, but I always have higher than normal expectations of everything. I can still see a few paint swirls, but nothing close to how it was looking before. There was still a few spots of wax residue left over when I went out back to inspect, but they took care of it all for me. Overall, they did a good job, and took real good care of you there. They have a nice lounge area with wifi to hang out, and somebody came by regularly to give me updates of how much longer it would be.

Price was 128 for for wash, clay bar, wax and polish. If you pay in advance, they will give you a free wash that day, and then you get another wash in the next 48 hours after the detail, which I will take advantage of incase there is any more wax residue left anywhere.

I will go back again though for sure. I went to the one on Marbach this time, but the last time I went for the wash was on Bandera. The Marbach location had 1 in the detail area versus 7 in Bandera, and a 4 hour wait. I was out in about 2 hours at the Marbach location.

I like the medical district better, less traffic and less ghetto. But I am at Fort sam houston so the drive is different for me. But like I said I like the Medical area better. I love the Stone Oak area the most though but traffic is not fun when you need to get somewhere.
