So has anyone been affected by this mess?

Human Resorurces and Skills Development Canada had an employee missplace an external portable hard drive containing first/last names, mailing address, birth date, student loan amount, Social Insurance Number

If you haven't received a letter fromk HRSDC they are advising that you still call them and reconfirm.

Need to call in take advantage of the free insurance protection they are offering.

My question is why the portable hard drive ?
They are dumbasses shit like this should be log in log out only info.

My gf came home with that yesterday so I guess they lost alot of people's I info. Gotta love the portable hard drives there using. Real smart

I called and drilled an operator a bit and this is the info:

Just so you guys know it was a USB stick!
Happened on December 6, 2012
Containing information from year 2000 - 2006

I would suggest affected people contact lawyers, and see what your options are.

I wouln't be suprised if theres a big class action lawsuit
