Good day,

The price will vary depend on your current complictation. Please email me at eivanova@bimmerretrofit.com with your VIN (vehicle identification number) and I will be able to tell you what you will need and how much it will cost.

Dashboard is part of the iDrive kit, which is required when you convert the non-iDrive car to iDrive car. This kit is not posted on the website, but is available if you wish to purchase it. You can email me for more info: eivanova@bimmerretrofit.com

Thanks,

Kate.

$7,500?? Wow that's too expensive! The actual price is much-much less, check out our website or contact us for a quote.

Bearing in mind that is $7,500 NZD, which equates to around 6.2k USD.

I can't justify that cost at the moment... I will take a look around your site though, thanks for the link. The dash will be the most difficult part I think, given its size.. may be easier to get that part supplied locally..

We'll see if I keep my car, after the trouble its been giving me after I hit 50,000km :|

Like many others I would love to get this done for my car. Can you PM me the total cost for you on this project? It would be much appreciated so I can start saving.

Does anyone have the schema for connecting the screen and idrive controller wires to the radio harness (the easy way, not using the junction box)?
I have ordered a quadlock extension to use it for all connection, including the emulator.
Thanks

Thanks! It seems that junction box is needed, but at least it's a great writeup.
Can't wait to receive all the parts.

Hello,
I am in the middle of my retrofit and I have a little problem.
Which of the connectors is the X11003?
It was supposed to be green or blue, but mine is black.
Is that the rigt one?

That is the correct plug. Depending the year of manufacture you will need to connect to either pin 1 or pin 7.

It was the right one.
I guess that any pins will provide 12v on that connector.

Well done Jorjel; it must feel really awarding once completed (I know it was for me)?

To all those looking at the above picture thinking that it is scary; I actually found removing the steering wheel airbag the most difficult task.

First coding attempt - failed, still no sound
Found on another site the following:
#0909 - FA_Write to CAS and FRM. Use #0910 if Combox.
$609 - FA_Write to CAS and FRM
$6VA - FA_Write to CAS and FRM

CAS write was successful, but cannot find FRM module... is only a NFRM one.
If anyone could give a hint on PM...

Later edit: figured it out...
No date change needed as is a LCI
Both codes were written to CAS and NFRM
Then a simple sg_codierung to CIC and I had sound! Must admit that coding is a lot more difficult than my ex VAG cars
Strange thin is that I have tried a US/Canada DVD and is working just fine...no need to change the region. Is it possible that it took the region from other modules?

Sorry no disrespect but start your own thread.
This thread has been started with the intention to promote bimmerretrofit kits.
