Just want to revive this thread since I found it very helpful for me. I followed the reviews and purchased my current setup, which are H&R sport springs, Koni yellow sports shocks, E36/E85 bump stops and new front spring pads. They are put onto my 2012 E92, and after two days of a little over 50 miles driving, I am very pleased with the setup. Ride feels about the same as OEM, and with my rear tires changed to non-RFT Michelin Pilot Super Sport, my ride actually feels softer going over bumps and dips.

^ good call on the bumpstops. I'm sure they'll help ride quality alot with those springs.

No problem OP, I would've probably gone for coils if I did not see this thread. I am glad I went with this spring + shock combo.

Here are some before and after pictures of my drop.

What setting did you use or recommend for the Koni Yellows to?

This sounds great! I am looking forward to getting this exact setup on my car. Just ordered the bumpstops and my Koni Yellow dampers are on the way, with my H&R sport springs waiting here.

Is it necessary to change the front spring pads? What benefits are there? could they just utilise my original ones?

^ If you've got less than 50k miles, no need to change the spring pads. If you've got more miles, I would f/r, plus change the upper rear shock mounts and the upper strut mounts as they're a wear item

To be honest I got some new pads because I just want all parts new, I like my suspension components done right the first time around.

Since your car is an 07, I would def. recommend a set of new spring pads.

How much do you think the following parts would set me back?
Spring pads
Upper rear shock mounts
Upper strut mounts (is that front and rear?)

I have not heard many people changing these items...

Just to not let this very good thread be forgot. Really helpful and it has helped me to put together what I think is a properly matched setup.

H&R Touring Cup Kit
E36M3 Bump stops
E86Z4M Bump stops

I will install and comment what the setup is like.

I want to bring back this thread from dead.

I am looking in to buying FK Coilovers. I've been told that they don't come with bump stops, but I can see front's having them in pics.

People who had E36M3/E86Z4M bump stops, could you please weigh in and give me your opinions? If you have to do it again, would you do the same bump stops?
