You are correct but incomplete. You want "more dense" air to hit your turbos for "better efficiency". A DCI setup draws significantly "less dense" air as opposed to a CAI setup that significantly draws "more dense" air

They put the N54 project on pause for the N55 project. They dont know when they will continue back with N54 project

I was updated on this on 1/28/2013

True, if you have colder air, you have more oxygen per molecule, which means you won't have to spin the turbo's as hard to get the same amount of air compared to hotter air. This all translates to efficiency.

I bought carbonfiber vinyl from 3M on ebay 12 " x 12 " will do.

This how it ended up.

Yeah , it was a quick fix , I never laid vinyl before , this was my first.

The lid is also easy to make in carbon fiber , makes the intake look much more classy in my opinion.
