Anyone use a USB cigarette lighter adaptor? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey guys. Is anyone using a USB cigarette lighter adaptor in their car? If so could give me the info or take a photo of it for me?

To make a long story short, I'm gonna change my car charger to a USB adaptor and I bought 2 different ones and they do not work in my 335 but they work in my wife's Lexus. I am guessing there is some fitment issues with our car's cigarette lighter . Mahalos.

Does the lighter get red/hot? It could be that the fuse for the cig lighter is out.

Sounds like a fuse or the wire in back of the cigarette lighter came out.

No the lighter socket works cause my car charger has no problem. It's Just the USB ones

I have an extra one, gimme a call. If it works in your car you can have it for $5.

Ah crap already ordered one from amazon. Probably going to arrive today. I will let u know how that goes.

Thanks. Does it work in the arm rest port? The problem with the new griffin that I bought is I can't close the arm rest after USB is plugged in.

I use one along with bluetooth from Belkin . . . no issues.

I have one from either Belkin or Griffin, can't remember. Mine fits flush in the socket, I use mine in the ashtray and it closes fine as long as I don't have the cord in.
