M3 Strut Brace Install Problem

I currently have a problem installing the M3 strut brace. The rubber inserts in the plastic piece where the V brace goes through does not unclip. It looks like its one piece. A picture of it is posted below. Btw, this is going on a 2011 335is so maybe the newer 335's are different? Anybody else run into the same problem?

I have a pre lci e90 and that cowling or whatever it's called doesn't have those. Might have to do a little cutting, but obviously don't do that unless you have no other option, haha.

I have seen that. I did not have a similar issue since his rubber pieces is clearly held on by clips.

Pre-LCI here. No issues whatsoever installing the M3 strut brace.

I ended up slicing the rubber pieces on one end in order to fit the V-brace.

Had the same problem with my '13 335is. Luckily the member I bought my M3 brace from included the correct heater closing panel and grommets.

ditto.

My alternations also include: using a dremel to take a little length off the bolts in the image below, so the ends didn't protrude in to the cowl so much.
. I saw another member actually drilling wholes in the plastic cowl. Taking a little off the bolts seems like a better option.

also, I pulled out one clip for the washer fuild line mount(had enough fighting to push triangle brace in).

Here's a look at how mine ended up with the M3 cowl conversion as well.
