Plastidip the window trim, not the wheels.

The trim does get annoying, the plastidip likes to stick a little and sometimes peels off and some chrome is visible. I've redone mine 3-4 times on the lower trim and still not fully satisfied. Might ditch the plastdip, tape it up real good and just paint it.

I wouldn't recommend plasti-dipping the window trim unless you remove it to paint, in which case you might as well use real paint. Masking is a major pain, not to mention you'll still see an edge of chrome on the windows when inside the car. OP: You could try. The only thing you have to lose is time (which can be pretty valuable). I wasted an entire weekend trying to 'dip' the trim just right. I even taped and masked everything with the doors open so as to get the inside of the top trim. It's difficult to get all the angles (ie under the side mirrors). Ends up, I'm just gonna have it redone professionally. Wish I would have done something else that weekend, like drive my car... |

Wasn't sure where to post this... But I wanted an opinion... For winter I was thinking about doing something a little different. I have a pre lci black sapphire metallic 328xi with the 159 wheels. Would it look weird to Plasti dip my wheels, mirror covers, and kidneys white?
