Random thoughts on a new 328i vs my 07

Well my car's in the shop for some pre-spring maintenance (oil, brake fluids, spark plugs, filters etc...) and I was given a loaner Bmw for the weekend, a brand spanking new 2013 328i sedan with x-drive(in Bronze metallic, if anyone's interested.). As I've always thought of myself a bit of an amateur auto journalist, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the differences between the two cars.
My car is a 328xi coupe with the NA 3L 6 banger and the loaner has the TT 4. I was very suprised how different these powerplants are. The 4 is rated at more Hp and Tq, but feels less powerful than the 6. My car pulls the ashphalt underneath it when I accelerate, where the TT4 seems to just fly along the top. The sensation is very different.
The electric steering on the loaner car has gotten some so-so reviews, but I like it. It doesn't seem to demand as much from the driver as my hydraulic steering does. In my car I feel everything on the road, which isn't a bad thing I know, it's just sometimes it is a lot more work.
The ride quality is very different as well. My car has 18" run flats where the loaner has 17" non run-flats (I think). Anyway, the loaner is much nicer as a cruiser and is very compliant over bad road surfaces. My coupe is much harsher when the roads go bad.
Handling-wise, both cars are typically Bmw amazing. Since my car is a sportier model, naturally it handles a bit better. But the 328i is awesome to toss around and was amazed at the lightness of the car compared to mine. Where my car feels (and is: by 300lbs) heavier, it also feels much more planted, where getting it to slide would seem much more difficult. The 328i feels, and is, lighter (amazing that a 4 door sedan is lighter than a 2 door coupe.) and seems like getting it loose would be much easier.
They both handle great, jusy in quite different ways.
That's it. Those are my thoughts on the two cars.
Love them both, but I'm glad I got the NA 6, their trademark engine. To me it's just what Bmw is all about...

What do the f30's have? A small turbo or twin?

Now I'm not so sure!
I thought it was a twin turbo, but now I read that it's call a twin scroll turbo? I'm not exactly sure what that means. Also, under the hood it says clearly: twin power turbo. Again, I'm not sure if it means a real twin turbo or not.
Anyone?

TwinPower Turbo <> Twin Turbo

Single turbo.

There is more immediacy with a 6. Don't believe the hype about low-end torque of the 4-cyl. turbo. Those numbers are reached on test bench with slow RPM variation.

If you just mash it from idle, the N20 is no quicker than the N52. Check this (X3 N20 vs X3 N52)

I recently drove a new loaner 328 for a weekend. I thought the drive train was typically BMW smooth, but the driving experience was very un-BMW. Whereas the E92 feels typically BMW/Audi/Mercedes hewn-from-solid, the new car felt more like a Honda or Toyota. It just didn't feel at all special to me - just a driving appliance. Just my impression over an admittedly short timeframe.

i actually felt like the f30 was a lot similar to mercedes as opposed to bmw, loose steering, not as connected feel as a bmw, did yours have sports package? maybe that made a difference, mine didn't
