being a convertible my seats in the back get very dusty and dirty... i like that Dry leather look... i want to avoid that oily greasy coating you get when applying normal leather conditioner...

what leather cleaner and conditioner product do you guys recommend and where can I buy it?

Great advice! So is this leatherique a cleaner as well? Or should I wipe down the dirty interior with a warm cloth first to get the dust off? (convertible top always down, but dirty rear seats is the outcome)

I heard Lexol was great!

I don't want that shiny finish... Matte real leather is the outcome I want.

leathique is probably the best product i have used. About to do it on my foxred in 2 weeks. The only problem is it take long time, but the results are outstanding.

Old standby.
For cleaning, cut Woolite (laundry detergent) cut 1:6 with water. This solution can clean 90% of the interior sans the windows. Cleans leather and vinyl VERY well.

After a wipedown with water, condition the leather with:
- Zaino's leather conditioner or Poorboy's version. Both are super on leather, without greasy residue. (IMO, Lexol has a bit of residue).
4-star's leather conditioner is great as well.

Both of my E92 and my E89 have Coral Red interior. I use Gliptone Liquid Leather. Used to have to buy them from UK, but I've recently found them on Amazon.

They don't have a north american distributor yet, but it has outperformed some well known brands. It's easy to use, and gives the results many of you have listed as requirements, such as: matte finish, no residue, quick and easy to use & long lasting protection.

I use the Zaino Z-9 Leather Soft Spray Cleaner and Z-10 Leather in a Bottle. Both work great and leave no shine or greasy residue.

I realize they're both around the same price, which would you recommend for some saddle brown leather that hasn't been conditioned/cleaned in a year, possibly more.

1) Simple green watered down 1:5 ratio to clean the leather

2) use a damp towel to wipe off anything remaining

3) Zymol leather conditioner

4) a final pass with a lightly wet towel (to remove excess conditioner)

I use Leatherique for routine maintenance. I forget the names, but I got two products from them. One is the restorer and that's the one that you have to leave in overnight or all day. The other one is just a cleaner like Lexol or similar. I haven't used it on my 335 yet, but on my Infiniti (not great quality leather) it worked great. I also used it on some leather furniture; made some old leather chairs look almost new. I use the cleaner for routine cleaning.

I would pass on the Simple green its pretty strong stuff even diluted.

I believe at one point about 8 years ago I was using simple green in that dilution ratio on my wheels!

I second this. Have been using gliptone for years on my 635. It's 28 years old and the original leather looks like new. With other cleaning products I find myself swinging from one product to another. However with this I have not found anything that is even close.
