Windshield washer leak

I have about 93k miles on m e90 328i. Recently I've noticed that my windshield washer fluid has been depleting and the check light comes on. I came out of my house the other day, and noticed it was dripping from the bottom corner of the front right side skirts.

Can anyone chime on this? Would this be covered under cpo? Thanks a lot

Mine's been doing this. I had the dealer pull off the fender liner, refill the washer fluid but they couldn't see anything leaking. So far it's a mystery. It seems like when I use the washer fluid once, that is when it starts leaking til the light comes on. Very odd. Hoping to find an answer.

i spoke to my SA and he said it sounds like it there could be a leak in the fluid line.

At least all of my problems are now happening at the 93k mile mark instead of being out of warranty.

I've had no problems at all until recently lol

Here is a link to a DIY for cleaning the filter on the washer. I recently cleaned the filter on my son's 328xi which was under CPO and dealer indicated that the windshield washer was not covered under CPO. Quoted $200.00-$300.00 to repair.

Followed the instructions and it took approx half an hour to complete. Maybe try this and filling up and running the washer to see if you can spot the leak.
Could possibly be a crack in the reservoir it's self. Would also be a good time to clean the filter.

Mine leaked real bad for a few months, to where I added a gallon every other week, but lately it's been holding.

First post gang!

Just picked up an '06 330xi and it has leaking WW fluid. Leak is at same location as OP, side-skirt/fender seam between passenger door and wheel-well. Opened up the wheel well and pulled the reservoir to where I could see both pumps and it was the windshield pump housing that is leaking. I drained all the WW fluid from the tank and put it in a gallon-size bottle. I removed the pump and pumped silicone into the crevice where it was leaking. I reinstalled the pump and after 24hrs will refill the WW tank and see what happens! Will report back in a day or two with results. If the silicone doesn't work, well then a new pump is my future.

UPDATE: Didn't put the WW fluid back in for about 3 days, but hasn't leaked again after using the WW a couple times. In the past, it would leak after each use. So, fingers crossed that the silicone sealed the crack or whatever the leak was in the pump. I have some pics of where the leak was if anyone has similar issue and wants to see what I did.

I too have this issue on my newly acquired 2006 330i. Went to try the headlight washers and had a gusher on the passenger side coming out from the front fascia somewhere. Have not had time to dig into it, but the info on this thread will help for sure. The washer itself was sticking as it tried to come out, and then didn't retract all the way either. Gotta have a look at that too!

Rgds,
