Painting chrome exhaust black. Thoughts?

Hey y'all,

I just ordered an Active Autowerke exhaust today.

I'm thinking about painting the exhaust black (my car is dark gray, it has black rims, and I plan on painting the front kidney grills black).

Have any of you painted your exhausts?

You're probably better off just swapping the tips for some black ones. It will be cheaper and easier to sell the exhaust down the line.

I did exactly what you want to do w my magnaflow on my f10. Don't regret it one bit. Same deal. Graphite car w m package and black wheels as well. Looks great. Doesn't stick out.

I used vht black gloss caliper paint and sprayed clear cost on top of it. Been over a year now and no issues. But I'm sure any high temp paint will work. Good luck.

^Did you also paint the inside of the tips, so the chrome didn't stand out?
