Clay bar question ?

I have the meguiars clay bar kit but I'm running low on the quick detailing solution u get with it. Do I need to to buy the same product again or can I just use soapy water or car shampoo mixed with water I a spray bottle ?

Just go to Advanced auto and get the giant size version of the quick detailer that came with it. Its the cheapest you can buy and it will work better than any mixtures you are trying to make.

Don't use soap. Prolong use will ruin your clay. Any clay lube will suffice...

Actually for the same price. You can get optimum no rinse and shine. Use one cap of the stuff into your already empty spray bottle and fill the rest with water.

Pretty much a lifetime use of clay lube.

Ridiculously inexpensive and effective.

And versatile! Good suggestion, I was going to recommend the quart of Optimum Instant Detail concentrate, since that's what I use and I'm very pleased with the results. I think it makes 16 bottles of spray and it leaves a great shine when used as a regular detail spray (when not clay'ing).

Whichever you choose (OID or ONR) make sure you mix with distilled water!
