Coilover Question

Has anyone experienced the clunking sound on the BC ER Coilovers? Anyone know a fix?

I've tightened the top nuts, however I still seem to get the clunking sound on the Front Left of the car.

Many thanks!

BC SHOCKS

I have this system in my car with no issues.
Take it back to the guy that did the fit up and have it checked as the shocks should not bang around.
But there will be some noise as the top mount on the front shocks have a bearing where as the stock system has a rubber mount.

Is it clunking under damper compression or at low speeds when turning?

check the bolts on the strut tower brace, all of them not just the ones on the tower itself, my centre mount (under the little black cap at the bottom of the windscreen) was a little lose and would squeek at certain moments, thought i had picked up a farkn mouse.

Occurs mostly on rough roads at various speeds, however it disappears every now and then. Its quite intermittent.

Well its most likely not a blown damper...

Have you adjusted the damper settings as they ship them at full hardness?

At full hardness they 'crash' over bumps (a mate got caught out with this on his teins and didnt realise they are set full hard from the factory in the box)

Did you DIY install them (I'm guessing not?) otherwise take the car back to the installer for a quick checkup?
