CDT CL-42 speakers in E90 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Does anyone know if the CDT CL-42 speaker package will fit in a e90. The website lists them as a 2"mounting depth but I just want to make sure. Anybody ever try installing them. I know the HD-42 will not fit but maybe these do. Any thoughts?

HD-42 is 2.1" and CL-42 is 2.063". I am planning to put the CL-42 in my car and asked Technic if it will fit. According to him, yes. I will see once I get it installed in a few weeks.

Installed them yesterday. Easy to install. Fits well on the e90. I did not hook up my amp yet but so far with deck power, they are very nice.

Do they look anything like the HD-42s, if so you have to top mount them see this thread:

Hey sohcpunk...i'm looking to get these same speakers...can't shoot a pm yet. but I'm glad to hear you didnt have any problems mounting them. I'm assuming from behind right?
