I was averaging 29.5 until winter hit, and haven't had a tank over 27 since then. 75% city driving. When it was warm, I was getting around 26 city, 42 highway, but it's fallen quite a bit the past few months.

I hadn't been noticing much in the way of winter decrease in MPG until the last tank or so. The only difference for me has been more extensive use of the seat warmer and steering wheel warmer. I always have the A/C on the same regardless of season so that hasn't changed much. And recently my trips have been more limited to 12 miles to work, 12 miles home. Before the last couple of tanks the trip type was much more varied.

How does the speedometer effect this? My speedo reads a solid 5% high at every speed with my stock 17" wheels. I guessed the computer was calibrated for 16" wheels, making the odometer and MPG also read as low. Anyone else notice this?

My 35.8 mpg should actually be 37.6. I'll sign up for Fuelly and verify.

My commute is 37 miles each way. It's 5 -10 miles of suburban/small city driving then the rest is highway with commuter congestion. I get between 33.5 and 34 mpg reliably with a recent 580 mile highway drive getting closer to 40mpg.

36-39 mpg. I drive 120 miles / day. 99% highway.

I dropped to 32-34 and the culprit was severely underinflated tires. I check them now every 2 weeks.

I just picked up my 335d this past weekend. It'll take a few tanks to get an accurate average MPG -- I've already signed up for Fuelly -- but the computer says 27.9 MPG so far.

Can't get away from between 30.1 and 30.9 on the mpg readout when in town which includes some gentle driving to work between 55-65 mph on occasion, but can get 34-35 mpg with full load at 75-80 mph on flat highway. AC is on usually.

I'm at 28mpg. 90% City 10% Highway. I think I have seen a drop in the winter as well. Over the summer with JBD I was about 30mpg

I just filled up: the onboard computer read 31.3mpg, while a hand calculation gives 33.72mpg. That's about average for my 335d, with a heavy reliance on highway, with suburban (35-45mph) as most of the rest (very little urban stop/go).

Last trip was a mix of highway and fast side road driving (LA to Paso Robles and back). 34.2 mpg for the trip. Didn't need the A/C much do to cooler temps.

Typically LA stop and go and the hills are a killer....so usually 21-23mpg if I'm light footed between the lights.

Best was 40.1mpg LA to Vegas, cruise control on, no A/C and yes, a pretty hefty tailwind. LOL

Computer average for the last 5k miles or so is 29 mpg. Hand calculation on last tank was 31mpg. 65-70% hwy. Much of my hwy driving is 80mph + on the toll road- obviously not conservative

I was surprised that the way I drive, the loaner F30 328i with much less power and no sport package gave close to the same fuel economy as my 335d. Good for the Camry crowd but I was looking for a sports car...

The F30 328i loaner i had (rwd) got me about 30mpg and i drove the piss out of that car. Not bad at all, very quick too but it was no 335d.

I noticed with this car, sitting in stop and go highway traffic is a lot better on the mileage than stopping at red lights
