I'm getting to like my exhaust more and more, best mod I have done so far for sure!

At normal cruising, the drone is at the level I appreciate, I can hear the engine and the car is completely transformed from tame to wild hahah. When you are going uphill, it does get loud but how often are you going to go uphill? For an extended period of time?

If you want a quiet car, you should just stick with stock exhaust, thats the best advice I can give you.

I dont mind the drone while driving locally to and from work, but when you take longer trips and you are constantly revings through the 2000-2500 range it wears on you and gets old pretty quickly. This is the main reason i put the stock muffler back on.

There is, but its being blocked by exhaust in the picture. Its about 6" back from where the clamp connection is in the 9:00 position.

I just picked up this exhaust today. I'm going to get it painted black, and I'll probably get it installed next weekend.

It seems like A LOT of people are complaining about drone. Why did you guys write "The exhaust produces a sporty, yet mellow tone with NO highway drone." on your website? The 'NO' is even in bold. Lol.

At first i wasent really used to it. Now it doesn't bother me at all... Maybe im just still young

It was bad enough for me to put the stock exhaust back on. At some point though i may just put it back on and deal with the noise, it actually sounds pretty awesome .

Our test car had 0 drone (2007 e90 328) Which is why I was surprised when I started hearing people have this issue. We have corrected quite a few of them by playing with the fitment.

Also interested in this over the OEM PE - can you elaborate please, playing with the fitment how? I have no problem jacking up the rear to adjust but I would like to know what to try first

Also wondering if this will work with the E90 323i N52.

Exhaust install Tips:

Do not tighten the exhaust clamp more than snug until the exhaust is completely set where you want it.

Be sure its not close to the bumper as it will usually move a little after install and driving. If it does move re adjust once more.

I guess some of the other forum members who are close by need to bring it to your shop. Eventually you can get an idea of where our installs went wrong. Under load in pretty much any gear, the boomy noise is present between 2000-2500 RPM. On a constant cruise, say 6th gear at 65mph, its just a little louder than stock until you need to accelerate. Is that your definition of drone or is it different? I feel like its more of a resonance issue, so the question is what is causing it.

Okay, so you buy an exhaust... But you don't want to hear it... Hmm maybe keep your stock muffler than. Just my thoughts. I bought an exhaust because I want to hear that lovely powerhouse, that is the music I drive to.

But what do I know?

Thanks for the info :]. I took the leap and Actually ordered it last week now waiting for it to come so AA shop near me can add the Tune and exhaust on for me as soon as the exhaust comes. I shall update as soon as I can if i have any issues with mine .
