what a waste of time to everyone. while the OP should use discretion when warning others about members i think everyone should pay attn to the fact that OP has been an active member for 3 years with 500 posts and the new father has been on for about 6 months...

again - OP should have been more careful about his wording and his discontent but its a freaking 3 dollar cable and maybe he should purchase camera equipment off of a camera board. we are here cause we love BMWs.

Interesting thread.

While the OP clearly over-reacted to a USB cable (unless it is some generic cable) it does appear that the OP was promised something that he didn't get.

The sellers first post in this thread is basically a FU post - "I ain't sending nothing" - a very poor way of trying to make a point.

All of a sudden, a new baby pops up (or is it "out"?) The seller couldn't even stop on his way home because he was rushing to the hospital - wouldn't the imminent birth be a topic of discussion during the meet to sell the camera "Sorry to have forgotten the cable, my wife's ready to have our baby and things have been hectic. I'll have to look for that cable and send it when I get a chance - it might not be right away because I might be spending time in the hospital."

Combine that with the relative being on E90post instead of him and it all sounds a bit fishy.

All this could have been avoided by a short text or email explaining that he couldn't find the cable. Alternatively, a nicer response here would have also defused the situation.

As it stands, we have an overly "quick to shoot" OP and a seller who may not a scammer but sounds like a real ass.

I know I wouldn't do business with that seller and I'd be a bit leery about dealing with the OP - he sounds a bit OCD
