PE tips - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Guys, i have bought a PE from a friend before selling his car. Unfortunately the tips are bent, any ideas which tips i should go for as replacements?

cyba only sells stuff for n54 tho... i mean since your gonna cut them off anyways, it might look okay but you should make sure they'll fit

Is there anyone that sells like 3.5" tips for NA e90's?? Would they even fit without cutting out more of the diffuser?

It's not the diffuser that you'll have problems with.

The spacing between the tips on the NA dual exit muffler only allows 3" diameter tips - any bigger than that & they won't work as the tips would interfere with one another...

Honestly, the DiMisa one looks like the same as the P.E., a single walled stainless steel tips. The cyba ones do look pretty sweet though

Ahhh I see, well I guess 3" it is unless I'm wanting to get rid of the PE

I thought you were talking about regular NA muffler - not NA PE

The NA PE muffler has bigger than 3" tips on it from the start (at least they do on my E92 version) and they fit in the diffuser fine.

I don't think they are 3.5" though - somewhere in between 3 & 3.5

I could get measurements once back home...

Yeah, I currently have a PE on my e90. I can't imagine the dimensions being different b/t the e90/e92. I can measure tomorrow morning.
Another member told me they won't fit with the PE regardless, so I don't know, I'm confused. lol

I've cut my PE tips when I got mine. They are still in a very usable condition; almost look new.

Let me know if you want them.

Yes, muffler is same for E92/E90

I measured:

PE tips ARE 3" diameter - on a centerline that only allows 1/16" between the tips

So 3" Dia is as big as you can go...

Actually, the PE tips are slightly larger then the standard muffler tips which are 2-7/8" diameter - on same centerline.

So regardless of muffler - 3" dia is max
