Tickets Help *IL*
So my close friend got a ticket going 40 in a 25 today in Will County in Naperville,IL. In Jan of this year he got another one for speeding 75 on a 55 in Dupage county. Few months prior to that he got one towards southern IL and had to pay it through the mail.
He is currently on supervision for his previous ticket in JAN. He wanted me to ask whats his best options are. The cop in Naperville told him you can just pay it online or go to court. Will he get convicted? Will he get suspended? He is 22 years old. Should he Lawyer up? Any help I would appreciate it. Last edited by ///M3NACE; 03-09-2013 at 05:22 PM.. |

Don't pay it, either go to court and ask for 8hrs of traffic court, or pay for a Lawyer, option 1, of course is the cheaper of the two, but the lawyer is almost usually always a good out come.

Lawyer up. Guaranteed that the prosecutor has his MVR already and knows his past. Time to find a lawyer who's buddies with the judges in Will county. And tell him to stop driving like a douche. If he was in a BMW, tell him thanks for making us look even worse to cops. A 25mph zone is either a side street in a neighborhood or a school zone, either way, kids are nearby. I don't have tolerance for that since I'm a father.

Your friend would have saved a lot of money had he invested in a good detector. I recently got a second gx-65 for my other car for $350 on ebay. (brand new)

I try not to use Bob Stringini too often but I have on occasion. You could look him up and see if he does Will county also. I know he does Dupage very well, and Ernie Blomquist is who I use for Cook, but fortunately, I haven't tried my luck in Will yet.

I got a $450 V1, and its useless against lazer. They are great early warning devices, but are a poor substitute for staying within 5-10mph of the speed limit.

A lawyer won't do squat at this point, except maybe get you supervision for ticket #3, in exchange for community service hours, or a reduced fine (which when you factor in the money you payed the lawyer, and the court doesn't make any sense). Ticket #2 now will automatically go on your record since you had an offense during your probationary period. My advice? Mail in the fine, tick traffic school. Go and attend traffic school, cuz you need it, and Slow the F down out there.
