The AWD does not make a difference for the wheel fitment in this instance. fyi maybe check eas tuning . They sell them, don't know if they're in stock. They're doing free shipping on APEX wheels this month.

You can use the 17x9.5 et35 with a 5mm spacer too, thats what I'm doing.

Hi David, guess I can pose this to you as well.

On a pre-lci E90, can one use the concave 9.5 (with or without a spacer) up front with either 255/40/17 or 245/40/17 without camber plates? Any guess as to how much camber is needed? I currently have pins pulled and m3 control arms (guessing my camber can be pushed to -1.5).

Hi David, I'm gonna piggy back off of this. I am in the market for 17" Arc-8's as well. And I'm curious is there anything you offer that will give the meaty/beefy track ready look (and also be track functional) without modifying the stock sport suspension? I know the ideal setup is what you mentioned above, spacer+camber plates. But I am trying to avoid that for now. Thanks for your help!

So I am in the process of ordering a set of 17" Arc-8's. These will be for my 07 335xi. I've already ordered the new Dunlop star spec in a 245/40R17. How would these fit on a 9.5" wheel and on my car? I have camber plates, but would rather not use them on the street since these will be my daily tires. I was originally going to get 17x9 but they won't be available until June apparently.


Edit: After more reading, it appears the 9.5" requires some camber and a 5mm spacer....so I might be stuck waiting two months My poor snow tires..

If you have camber plates but don't want to use them on street, when would you use them? Install them only for track days and then remove afterwards each time?

For a 9.5, I would go 255 or 265. 245 will be stretched on a 9.5.

Correct. I use the additional camber for track days and autocross and switch it back for the street. I was concerned about stretch of a 245 on a 9.5 too....even though it shouldn't be nearly as bad since they're an extreme performance summer tire. I'm thinking I'll have to end up waiting until the 17x9 becomes available again.

Wait you're going to uninstall camber plates every time? That makes no sense. Why not install and mark your street and track settings and switch on the fly? That's the whole point of adjustable camber plates, else you have to pay for an alignment every time...

Right...they are adjustable. Alignment is set using least aggressive setting and then fully adjusted yields around -3* of camber.

Alex, I've replied to your PM. The 245/40/17 will indeed be stretched a little bit, and you are correct that you would also need a 5mm spacer for the 17x9.5" ET35 to clear your struts. With these you would need to use your camber plates to dial in about -2.8 degrees of camber for a 255/40/17, but since you're using a 245/40/17 that stretches, you may be able to get away with a tad over -2 degrees. We just recently sold out but have a production starting for the 17x9.0" ET30 wheels as of now, and they should be here in the next 8~ weeks.

I have read through this thread and am 99% sure I know the answer to this, but want to confirm before I place my order. I have an LCI 2010 e90 335i with m-package, and I am going to get the 17/9.5 arc-8. I am going to be fitting them with 255/40/17 r-compound rubber (either R888 or nt01). I am going to get camber plate and dial it into -2.8 degrees. I will not have any issue with rubbing on the front or back correct? I have not seen in this thread if the LCI will rub in the back with this set up.

You will need a 5mm spacer in the front to clear the strut. But other than that, you should be fine. I have a pre-LCI E92, so not the same as your car, but honestly it's not even close to rubbing anywhere.
