TPMS Troubles

I recently bought a set of 235/40R18 with 18x8.5" wheels from DiscountTire (tires.com). I choose to buy a set of TPMS also. I mounted the tires on the other day and reset the TPMS in I-Drive. The light went off briefly when I was driving but it keeps coming on and off and flashing.

Could the tires not have the right pressure set? I am not sure what the recommended psi is for this size is.

And how does the system differentiate from the factory wheel and tire setup to the new size? My stock size was 17x8 with 225/45/17 and TPMS was fine. How do I tell the system that I upgraded the wheel size and that the tire pressure default is different?
