Should I get the tire insurance?

I recently brought a 2010 e93 with 18" sport tire, is my first car. The dealership seem like they really want to sell me on the tire warranty and insurance. I mostly drive on the weekend and some weekdays on the mean street of NYC. The insurance cost 1350 after tax, covers up to 5 years and I was wondering if it is worth it to get it?

I did but would not do it again. I only paid $800 for 5 years and have 19" on my car...but swapped the rims for aftermarket in 6 months. Now I have insurance on bubble wrapped wheels in my basement.

The simple fact is the dealer wouldn't offer this if they didn't make money on it. Calculate your risk...how many wheels have you destroyed in the last 5 years? If more than 2, may be worth it to you. If not, don't waste your money.

Statistically you get one puncture every 5-10 years in the UK. US roads are better.

A new tyre will be less than $1350

I got it and now don't worry about potholes or damage wheels/tires. Got a good deal on the car so decided on getting wheels/tires warranty. If you already purchased the car, I don't think you can get it afterward, only at the time of purchase.

Proberly would not get it the next time unless I'm running 19" or live in potholes city.
