You have to select each one separately, and code using SG_CODIEREN. Use Expertmode for it.

You just need to recoding these modules to let them now about new option.

Profiles are here: http://rapidshare.com/files/1222258170/profiles.rar. Move them to NCSEXPER/PFL, detlete the old one.

Hello thanks for the info, i get that I need to code the other options after I have added $676 to cas and nfrm but when I select to change ecu I never get these "CHOST/CAPPL/CGATE/CAUDI/CTUNE on cas, frm or nfrm, I know I need to change the job to SG_CODIEREN I only get these in the pic below, obviously I am doing something wrong but cant find what.

Hehe, ok, important question: do you have CCC or CIC nav? Probably you do not These are available onyly with CCC or CIC on the board

Probably you have to recode: RAD2 and RAD2_GW

I think some of this if for idrive.

I think some of this if for idrive
Aren't the modules different for a pro radio without idrive?
Like the 2rad file which is from my previous entry near the top of this thread.

CHOST/CAPPL/CGATE/CAUDI/CTUNE, these modules are the part of IDRIVE only.

If you have a pro radio you have to recode RAD modules.

Hello, I do not have idrive, i have got professional hu base stereo with bluetooth and bmw assist. So thats why those modules arent listed, duh what an idiot I am.

So what I have done is to code the cas, nfrm and 2rad and then I SG_CODIEREN the 2RAD file and woooop i now have this compared to 10 minutes ago when I had stereo where hifi is now shown. I dont know if adding the $676 to the 2rad was actually needed but I did it in my process if someone can say whether or not its needed and I wont include it in my DIY?

Really wanted to say thanks guys, took me a day to get my head around ncexpert but its now done and I would of been lost without the help here.

You don' t need to add VO to RAD. It's impossible, you just need to recode RAD. CAS and NFRM is an ECU when you are adding VO, always. You are recoding RAD to inform this ecu about new option 676.

What year is your car and what did you start with.

What year is your car and what did you start with for a stereo system?
This is for the last responder . Just trying to establish what years the recoding is possible with and which systems.
Also did the original radio option disappear or did you have to remove it ? Or did it just get written over.

You didn't need to add it to 2rad, but I doubt it makes a difference. I did this last year and it was pretty simple I had logic 7 so I deleted $677 and added $676 to the cas and frm/nfrm depending on which one you have. Then recode the 2urad file. Its simple if you can figure out to code you can recode your headunit.

Hello, well i did add the $676 on the 2rad , if your saying that it wouldn't take and doesn't need to be done that answers the question . I just add the vo to cas and nfrm and then I coded the 2rad file and voila. I just added I didn't remove anything from it just added. Really easy in hindsight considering how much time i was stuck on the last part but its the first thing I've done on this so I'm really happy especially since I got all the help here very quickly. I have a 12/2009 E92 with Professional HU and bluetooth without iDrive.

What are u planning to install / upgrade??

my X-ion by Audio System (fully made in Germany) install :

X-ion 4.70 powering front subs (stock) and front mid-twt (X-ion speakers)

+
Line converter from Rockford Fosgate
+
AIV Mini-ANL fuse and mass distribution with amps & voltage display.
(useless but got it at cheap price )

Hi, thanks. My setup will be the following.

Alpine control box with USB/DAB/IPOD/AUX connected to HU
Usb port and Alpine unit installed in centre console
Front: Focal KRS 100 with twetters and crossovers
Rear: Staying stock
Underseat subs: SWS 6.5
Amp: MRX V60
Using techic Harness when it arrives from the US.
TheLoudest.com Amp 2gauge kit
Soundproofing where needed

My speakers are already in, aswell as the tweeters and the alpine unit and the usb and display unit. I have made myself some MDF spacers for the subs to sit on and I just need to get the harness so I can wire it in and then fit the amp. voila Have you done all of your install yet?

Hi all, I am looking for some help or guidance here.

I just got alpine retrofit installed in my 06 E90 with Base Business Nav Stereo (IDrive). I have a few issues I am not happy with

1. I can hear engine wine noise through the speakers, It tends to stay on for 30 seconds when I change inputs then disapears. The worst is on the AUX. Could this possibly be due to by Stero not being coded to Hifi.
2. The sound is highly EQ'ed and sounds really boomy and crap. the door Dongs, PDC and are alot louder now

My dealer said there was no coding necessary, Should I just try to code this myself? I have heard issues where this may mess up Bluetooth / PDC?

Any adviice woul be great. Also can I follow some of the instructions above to code my Business Nav Stero?

Thanks

Noise is increasing with engine rpm?
How is wired your amp? Direct 12v connnection?

Alpine kit does not require coding but will sound as you decribe unless you code it to hifi. You will then be able to fine tune your sound.

1. reroute your amp 12v to the 'stabilized' radio 12v.
this will suppress the engine noise. 100% working.

2. you can adjust bass and tremble via your radio.
set all level on the amp to the min and start increasing step by step till you reach a good sound.
But again, nothing is better then going hifi and fine tune...

When I first install my setup I was a quite surprise with the sound but not really satisfied. The sound was better than the stock one but crappy compare to hifi/ low level lines.
