First code is a bad and/or dirty exhaust VANOS solenoid (outlet = exhaust, inlet = intake). That particular issue will cause your vehicle to go into limp mode, resulting in your Bimmer feeling like a Pinto. Most guys try cleaning the solenoid first (usually compressed air suffices though some have used kerosene or the like). Do a search and you'll find plenty of DIYs on this.

Steering angle sensor code doesn't appear to be an issue as the error is not currently present. These cars are known to throw "ghost codes" from time to time and not indicate any actual issue with the vehicle.

Regarding the DSC fault...did your DSC light come on in the dash as well? ABS light? etc..?

Clean or Replace the VANOS Solenoids, there are two, one is for the intake cam other is for the exhaust, your car is throwing the code on the exhaust side, make sure you clean the correct one. Standing in front of the motor, its the left one.

I like to use MAF cleaner, fill a small cup with the stuff, dip the solenoid in, remove spray some more around the holes, blow out with compressed air at 30 psi, reinstall.

Make sure its completely dry before installing as not to contaminate your oil.

The part itself is about 100 bucks, 1 bolt, disconnect electrical connector, slide out, slide back in.
