I am going to get camber plate and dial it into -2.8 degrees. I will not have any issue with rubbing on the front or back correct? I have not seen in this thread if the LCI will rub in the back with this set up.

Thanks again!

Thanks for answering DallasBoosted! He is correct, you will need a 5mm spacer in order for the 17x9.5" ET35s to clear with an R-compound in 255/40/17 with -2.8 degrees of camber. However, the LCI e90 has a wider rear tract, and thus has 8mm less fender clearance, so the rears would rub without a fender roll, especially with the R-compound tires.

17 x 9

pic of 9" without spacer in front! Tires square 255mm. Since the car is lowered, a little -ve camber is needed, otherwise the front will rub on the outside of the fender. With 9.5" and 5 mm spacer, more -ve camber is needed.....

What size studs are being run on the 17x9 set up on the first page? The front studs look longer than the rear studs, no?

No idea, but don't forget that what you see as shorter studs could actually be because spacers are being used. But I'd guess 85mm.

It is a 5mm spacer in the front and none in the back based on the description for the 17x9.5 wheel.

Could be wrong

Just purchased a square set of the 17/9.5 concave anthracite, Vorshlag camber plates, 5mm spacers and a set of 255/40's from DSBJ on here! Ready to get them all on my car! I am also going to pick up a set of the M3 front control arms. Debating getting the m3 rear bushing to clean up the slop in the back. Thoughts?

Also, thinking about a set of the JRZ RS1s. I know everyone loves KW but thinking of another direction. But then I go back and forth and think I would be good with just the bmw performance suspension and m3 control arms.

What do you expect the installation of camber plates, m3 control arms and bushing cost. The bushings will probably be the most expensive part to install right?

Last thing I need for awhile will be a beefed up oil cooler. I have signed up for several track days this year already and in VA the heat is really makes heat soak in quickly.

Will do a photo shoot once everything is installed

Why has nobody tried 275's in the front? I test fit my 275/40-17 nt01's on the front of my e92 today with 17x9.5 et35 arc8's (5mm spacer) and it seems to fit fine. Took it out and around a bit and didn't detect any rubbing, flipped some full lock u turns, brakes hard enough to engage the abs, etc...seems fine.

Running ground control coilovers with 3.3 degrees negative camber in the front. Will post a picture in a second.

Smooth,

You have a beautiful 330. Do you have any good angled pics of your car? I'd like to see how the concave part of the wheel looks.

Perhaps that's the reason? Most folks aren't able to get 3.3 -ve camber in front and if they do, they wouldn't want to run this set-up for daily driving?

Well okay, but there's plenty of track cars here too and I've never seen anybody try anything wider than 255's in the front. I just noticed there seemed to be a lot of room around my 255's and threw the rears on the front just to try it.

By the way, the negative camber hasn't seemed to affect my street tire wear much at all. Toe kills tires, not really camber. My track tires still have slightly more wear on the outside than on the inside.

OoH damn that is awesome!!

Can you mount both 275s in front and test drive it? I am wondering if there would be any rubbing when the front is loaded in turns.

Thanks ... (didn't see ^^ details in the post)

Are you going to run 275 square?

Thats the plan. None of the tires I run are made in 295 or 305 17's, so my rear options are limited to 275's or 315's, and I don't think I can do 315's in the back.

So 275 square it is!
