What mufflers would be a direct sway with an E92 335i?

Instead of spending a lot of cash on a whole exhaust setup why not just have the mufflers cut out and others put in?
If this can be done which mufflers out there are set up to accept the stock piping or any muffler that could work with an exhaust shop bending me some new piping.

Arent these still like $800?

Im used to corvettes, and trucks where I can go to the exhaust shop and say hey cut my stockers out and put flowmaster or magnaflow in place and be out the door for $250

Arent there any mufflers that can do that? Or does it need to be an axle back setup with piping already?

Plus I havent seen too many dynos on what more free flow mufflers gain in power wise. Not that it matters to me but of course Id like to know roughly what Im gaining.
My mods are in my sig

I know the BMW PE gains 3-5hp from a free flow muffler. Exhausts on these cars do not yield nearly enough benefit to justify cost. You could chop in a muffler, some users have posted which magnaflows work. It wouldn't be very hard to do.

If youre looking for more sound, just cut out the secondary cats, and if you find it too raspy weld in some vibrant resonators, sounds better and its good for a few hp.
