Great dealer experience

On the grounds that the last SA I talked to at South Bay BMW didn't know what was up, I took my car to Shelly (where I got it) for the JB power connector recall. All in all my SA was great - my new car warranty is up in October so he went over the car with a fine-toothed comb and put in requests for everything he could come up with - rear pads are nearly dead so that, break fluid, microfilter, front and rear windshield moulding, fluid leak inspection (though I have no reason to believe anything like that is wrong), as well as a tail light and key issue I specifically mentioned. Quite helpful.

Unfortunately with all the recall services, they had no BMW loaners, but they comped a rental for me. If you're in the LA/northern OC area and have any reason to be dissatisfied with your local dealer, they're probably worth the extra drive.

I've dealt with Shelley BMW before when I lived in Fullerton, and they were great. The guys at the parts department were cool. They were one of the first dealers I looked when I decided on a LCI E90 328i, but all they had were silver and black. Both great colors, I just didn't want black, and I had a silver car before, so I was looking for something different.

No argument there, the reason I bought there boiled down to they had the steal of the year on a crimson red 328. Glad to hear I'm not alone though.

Red looks awesome on E90s. I miss my Cinnabar Red E30 325is. Nothing pops like red when it's cleaned and waxed.

He was so great that he even checked my tire tread depth, opened the hood and checked for visible fluid leaks, and told me if i have mods just let him know, and everything will be ok.

If you want loaners I would suggest South Bay. They have a huge line of loaners.
